Mifuneyama came into being three million years ago, rising up from the Ariake Sea. In the latter part of the Edo period, Shigeyoshi Nabeshima, the 28th feudal lord of Takeo, created Mifuneyama Rakuen on a , m2 site at the foot of the mountain. Mifuneyama Rakuen Hotel opened for business in amid these longstanding workings of nature and humans. To this day, we have protected and inherited the unique nature, history, and culture that was nurtured around the mountain.
In addition, in the pursuit of a new kind of space as we move into the future, we have turned the lobby into a forest of art so that the hotel may connect and become one with the forest, with "forest and spiral of resonating lamps โ one stroke. The hotel offers two types of accommodations: rooms in the main building and rooms in the Naigosho, a historic villa with ties to the Nabeshima Domain.
