Yes, it's the best hotel in Khon kaen, but the guy with one eye is always a king among the blinds. Reception is friendly so far. If you check in, noone explains you anything, you need to ask for. Rooms are big, but oldschool. The worst was the orchid lobby bar. The lady there was not smiling at all, bad service, drinks took forever. It was clean so far, the pool was ok and no noise in the room booked the city site - pool site has a club close by Breakfast was also good.
The german Brauhaus has good beer, but the food is not good and mega overprized. The Cleo Bar is made for single men, but good. Thank you for your insight into service experience. This hotel delivers by far not what one should expect from a 5-star-hotel, especially not if you are a loyal Accor customer as I am I am an Accor Platinum Card holder.
Location is close to the red light district but very far from the city center and the night markets. If you are looking for prostitutes the hotel might be convenient, if you want to explore the city as a tourist then the location is very inconvenient.
Although I asked via email for a quiet room I got a room facing the street, on a lower floor close to all the bars and noisy clubs. The windows didn't close properly, I had a very bad sleep. Not very customer oriented. It is difficult to find any staff that has at least basic knowledge of English. One day I called the reception early in the morning, but there was no single staff member in the entire hotel that could answer my call. Ridiculous for a 5-star-hotel and very dangerous in case of an emergency.
